Olivia Says Hello
Hello my name Olivia. I live in Rondebosh, Cape Town,
South Africa. I'm 11 = years old. I go to Micklefield school. I love to read,
swim and play outside. My favourite board game to play is Risk. I'm not sure
if you have that game in Italy. My favourite boy band is One Direction, do
you know about them? I am the second
oldest in my family. I have one younger sister. I also have two dogs and three
guinea pigs. I have visited London and Greece, but = sadly I have not visited
Italy. I really would like to visit it someday! Cape Town is a wonderful
place to live. There are amazing places to and touri= st attractions to visit.
I really hope that we can meet one-day or that I can
visit you in Italy!

Anyway, in my free time I like going walking on the beach and listening to the sound of the sea. I like very much reading adventure books and going to the swimming pool. Hi Olivia, What kind of books do you like? I prefer adventure books. Recently I read Eragon and I think it's very beautiful. I don't like very much listen to music and I don't know One Direction.
ReplyDeleteI'm the oldest in my family : I have one brother and one sister. He is seven and she is four. I have visited Egypt when I was 5 but I'd like to visit South Africa one day. Positano is a beautiful place in summer but in winter it is too quiet because there is nothing to do.
Next year I'm going to High school but I don't know what I want to be one day, and you what would you like to be one day?

ReplyDeleteMy favorite sport to play is Hockey! What is yours? We just went on camp and came back on Friday the 7th of February. It was really fun! Do you go on camp for a few days with your school? On the weekends I also like to go to the beach and walk my two dogs, Bella and Peanut. I also love adventure books, but I mostly read mystery books like Nancy Drew.I would really love to visit Italy because it sounds like a wonderful place to live, and because pizza and pasta come from Italy, and those are two of my favorite foods.

ReplyDeleteI love to read mystery books and I want to be a Scientist when I grow up. This Wednesday we are having our Inter- House cross country, on Friday we are having our fancy hat competition and on Saturday we are having our Sports-day. There are three houses: Kingfishers who are green( I'm in this house), Robins who are red, and Swallows who are blue. Do you have houses at your school? If so, what house are you in? Positano sounds like a really beautiful place to live! Is there an outdoor ice- rink where you can go in winter?

Positano is very beautiful, it has beautiful beaches but no outdoor ice-rink so in winter it's a bit boring, but in summer it's fantastic.
Can you describe your town, what can you do in it? Where you live is a touristic place? which animals can you see?

ReplyDeleteYes, Cape Town is called a tourist place and is the top tourist place in Africa. I don't live in the big, big city, but in the city there is the V&A Waterfront where you can visit. There are lots of shops and restaurants to go to. You can also go for boat rides around the Waterfront. Occasionally, there are expeditions that you can go to and read about the person or thing. I recently went to an expedition about Leonardo da Vinci and last year I went to The Body World. There is also the Big Wheel to ride on. It like the London Eye or The Singapore Wheel, but way, way smaller! There is also Table Mountain to visit. On the mountain there are: Sunbirds, snakes(Puff adders, Boom slangs and more), the Mountain ghost frog, the Leopard toad, there are Leopards, but not many people see them, Dassies, Duikers, and the Black Eagle. There aren't any big animals like, Lions, Elephants or Giraffes walking around or near the city, but you can go to game parks like Kruger National Park to see them.

Your town sounds very beautiful and interesting. I'd like to go there one day. I've seen your class pictures but of course I don't know who you were. Now until May we'll study very hard, infact we finish all the days at 15.30 or 16 00. and then we must do homework because we prepare for our exam. What's the weather like now in your town? Here it's raining, raining and raining...

In Cape Town it has been very hot, but these last few days has been quite cold and windy. I am the Olivia in the 2nd group, and my picture is the first picture.

This Sunday my friends are going to Kent for one week but I'm not going.
Last Wednesday 10 of my class went to Piano di Sorrento for an interview with Samuel Modiano. I went and listened to his dramatic story because he lived in the Shoa.
Today we saw a video of Cape Town. I liked very much the World of Birds. Have you ever been there? can you see only birds or are there any other animals? And if you visited it, do you like it? Cape Town is very beautiful and there are a lot of things to do there. One day I want to go there!

ReplyDeleteYes, I have been to the world of birds, but only when I younger. You can see lots of different types of birds, but you can also see monkeys.
You friends are very lucky, but why are you not going?
I am going on hockey tour on Thursday. We go to Kynsna and every morning we play about 5 matches between the other schools that are going. I am very excited!
