Chloe says hello

Hello there, I am Chloe.

We live in Cape Town, situated in the beautiful country – South Africa. There are many tourist attractions that people all around the world love to visit, such as: Table Mountain. Table Mountain is a mountain in Cape Town and is shaped as a table, it is also one of the 7 Wonders of The World. There are also many markets to visit, they sell lovely clothing and delicious food for all. If you visit one you will see different colours of beads and jewellery. There are also lots of beaches to visit, and they have beautiful views of the mountain. You can also visit places like a penguin place at Boulders beach. There are also mountains that are not known widely around Cape Town but are still beautiful and I would recommend visiting them. The beaches are nice to visit to relax and have some fun like playing various sports and having fun in the water. Thank you!

  1. EMILIA says hello!
    Hi Chloe,
My name is Emilia and I'm 13. I live in Sant Agnello, a small tourist town. In my town there is the sea, where I go everyday with my friends when it's summer. Do you go to the beach? When it's too cold to go to the beach in winter, I go for a walk with my friends.
In my free time I also love reading and listening to music. My favourite book is the first one of the saga "Hunger Games" ( I haven't read the other books yet because I've just finished the first one!)
    Do you like reading?
My favourite band is One Direction. Do you know them? Some boys in my class hate them but I think they shouldn't say bad things about them! Who's your favourite singer? Do your classmates share your interests? My best friend, Claudia, doesn't share all my interests but I love her like I'd love a sister! Unfortunately I don't have a sister, but I have a brother. His name is Antonino. He's very naughty! Have you got brothers or sisters?
I hope I will meet you.
    hugs, Emilia

  2. Hello Emilia, I'm delighted to get to know you!
Yes, I do go to the beach, when it is hot and I feel like a swim! And yes, I love reading in my free time, my favourite author is Jacqueline Wilson. Have you heard of her? My favourite band is also One Direction! Who is your favourite? Mine is Louis, he is not very good at singing but he's still lovely! My favourite singer is probably Harry Styles or Selena Gomez, they are both very talented. My friends do share my interests, everyone except a few people love One Direction! I have a brother, AND a sister, but sometimes it isn't very nice because it gets a bit crazy sometimes! I also have a best friend, we would make the best of sisters! It is so lovely to meet you.

    Lots of love, Chloe x

  3. A volte passare il Natale a casa, ma anche a casa nostra vacanza. Noi di solito abbiamo una cena con pollo e qualche insalata e poi alcuni dessert dopo. Ciao, Chloe.

  4. Hi Chloe,
I hope you were coking when you said Louis is not very good at singing?? DO your friends think it too?
Anyway, do you like watching films? My favourite saga is Hunger Games. I’m reading the second book and I’m loving it! I’m waiting to have the 3rd one to go to the cinema when the “Mockingjay” film will come out.
I have never heard about Jaqueline Wilson. Can you tell me something about her, please?
I don’t have a favourite member of the band One Direction, I love all of the boys of the band! I like also some Miley Cyrus songs. Lots of people hate her because they think about her for the way she has become but what do you think about her?
    Answer me soon, hugs
    Emilia

  5. Hi Emilia
Well... sort of I guess! Yes, some of my friends do and most people like Harry Styles!
I love movies, my favourite is probably the Smurfs 2, I love the little blue smurfs!
Anyway, Jacqueline Wilson is an author who has been writing books for many years. My favourite book by her is probably The Longest Whale Song or Little Darlings. You can search them! Well, I love Miley Cyrus' songs, but I guess I hated her new look at first but now it I am getting used to it, it looks better than I thought it had been!
    Hugs, Chloe

  6. Hello Chloe,
I watched a part of "the Smurfs 2" (my dad bought the CD) but I was tired so I went to bed while my brother was watching the film. I think I'll watch it soon, if you think it's your favourite film! Miley Cyrus is my best friend's favourite singer, I thought too at first she was vulgar but then I understood the life is hers and she decides!
I read about Jacqueline Wilson that she won a Guardian Award and she's got a daughter called Emma. Her book "Secrets" looks nice. I'd like to read it but I have to finish the Harry Potter saga!
I think you'll have a photo of all people who are in the English PON soon (we took it today), I'm blonde, I have a hair braid and I'm making a heart with my hand with my friend Laura (she writes to Tamaryn). What do you usually do at school and who are you in the photo?
P.S.: I knew you were absent at school a few days ago. I hope you'll get well soon!
    Love, Emilia

  7. Hello Emilia!

If you watch Smurfs 2 I'm sure you will love it! I agree, people can't control her! I actually haven't read Secrets fully by her, but I should try it soon! Right now I'm reading The Longest Whale Song by her, and I'm loving it! I have read the first book of Harry Potter, but maybe when I have time I will try the others. I saw you and Laura, which one is you? Are you on the right or left-I'm guessing you're the one with the fleecy jersey? Well, we play lots of sport like tennis, netball, hockey, running, swimming and more. I do tennis in the Summer and Winter and Netball in the Winter. I hear you don't do sports and you only do two exams in your life, you are so lucky! Well, I am in group two and it says our names we are in groups. I have got brown hair and blue eyes and my hair is tied up. Well, I wasn't absent really I was on holiday in a place called Prince Albert. I visited a really nice museum where I saw old antiques and fossils and bones. But I am feeling quite sick this week! Hope you reply soon!

  8. Hi Chloe,
I saw you in a photo, you're cute
Oh, and in the photo I'm the girl on the left, then there are Laura, Raffaella and Claudia.
I thought you were absent at school because you were sick! Did you enjoy your holiday? How much time did you spend there? I'm going to England on the 9th of March with my school and I'm so excited! I'm going in a street called "the Vale" in Broadstairs. I think the week in England will be very very amazing! In the morning, I'll go to school, in the evening I'll do some activities and in the evening I'll go out and do… something I don't know! Do you go out with your school?
Anyway, we don't do exactly two exams in our life: it depends on what university you go to and IF you go to a university! Years ago, children had an exam when they were 10, at the end of elementary school! Now in Italy people do exams at the end of middle school (13 years old) at the end of high school (18 years) but someone doesn't finish high school because here in Italy you can leave school when you're 16!
How many exams do you do in your life?
    Please reply soon
    Hugs, Emilia

  9. Hi Emilia

Thank you, I'm actually one of the shortest people in my class! Oh and I thought so! Yes, but it was very, very hot and I did lots of swimming! I went on Friday and came back late on Monday so I didn't go to school! Wow, sounds fun! Where will you be staying? Are you boarding? Not really, we just go on outings and from 10 years we go on a camp every year until we are 13, we go as a class with our teacher and another teacher. It is fun and we learn skills and do fun activities but they can be challenging. This year we went to a place called Standford. We stayed in wooden bungalows with bunk beds! We stayed in groups and did activities like a mud fight and canoeing. Oh, sounds fun! We start exams this year until highschool. We do exams for each subject two terms a year.

  10. Hi Chloe,
I know I've already said it but I'm so excited: I'm going to England on Sunday! I'm going to go to school in the morning, I'm doing activities in the afternoon and I'm going out in the evening. I'm coming back to Italy on the 16th of March.
Well, I'm going to England but I'd love to know something about South Africa. For example, why does the Mount Nelson Hotel have this name? For Nelson Mandela? What's it like? And what's "Blue Rock Waterski resort" like? Is World of Birds a place wher you can see only birds?
Why don't you ask me something about Italy now?
When I am older, I want to come in South Africa, we can meet! My friend Laura wants to come too! She wants to meet Tamaryn and have a holiday in Nelson Mandela's country!
I hope you'll reply soon, and you'll answer my questions, but I will write only after I come back from England!
    Bye bye
    Emilia.

  11. Hi Emilia!
Sorry I haven't replied, but last week our internet was down and the week before we were busy with something else in computers! How are you? How was England? Did you have fun? About the Mount Nelson hotel, yes, it is. I haven't actually visited it though! I don't know what Blue Rock Waterski Resort is, actually. Yes, I love the World Of Birds it's so fun to watch the birds! Haha, that sounds like fun, maybe we could all meet, with Tamaryn and Laura! Sorry for the late reply again! I hope you had a lovely weekend.

  12. Hi again!
This is my second message to you because that was my last message I just wrote. It was SO nice talking to you and I hope we can continue! I think your teacher will tell you our email addresses so we can connect! I had a great time chatting, and it was nice to make a new friend! I'm sure we will continue writing to eachother on email, and I'm sure we can meet sometime if you come here or if I go to Italy one day (I don't think I will though)! I hope you also want to continue! We can get to know eachother better and we can tell eachother more about ourselves, and what's nice is that it doesn't have to be in school time, it can be whenever we get home! Thank you so much for being so nice! I also have a friend from Hungary who use to live here, and we still email! I hope you have a lovely season, (whatever season it is)! Bye and talk to you on email! (hopefully!)
