Tamaryn, I live in Cape Town which is in South Africa.
South
Africa is a land that is filled with culture and beauty. It is a home to many
different kinds of people and animals. South Africa has nine different
provinces, some provinces are filled with beaches, some are filled with nature,
sand, culture, art, and beautiful plants and animals. You should definitely
visit South Africa on your next holiday, you will definitely be impressed
with the beauty and people here.
Cape Town
is South Africa’s capital city. Cape Town is a beautiful
city, which is filled with lots of different tourist sites and landmarks like Table
Mountain, the V and A waterfront, our amazing beaches, nature parks, and art
and culture. It is a popular holiday destination to visit and I always see a
lot of tourist from around the world where ever I go.
Micklefield
is such a lovely school and I am so lucky that I am able to go here.
I am a girl
in grade 6, I love art and culture, and I love travelling overseas to visit
different countries and places. I love playing with my friends, being in cape
town and I love that I am able to go to a lovely and amazing school like
Micklefield. Please come and visit Cape Town when you can!

ReplyDeleteHi Tamaryn, I'm Laura and I'm the youngest in my class! I live in Piano di Sorrento, near Sant Agnello.
In Piano there are a lot of shops. You can see: clothes shops, book shops, supermarkets etc.
I like reading and in my free time I read a lot of books. When I can, I'm going to visit Cape Town. I'm curious about you, I would like to meet you.
I have a brother, His name is Salvatore, he is naughty, but I love him...he's my brother!
My favourite foods are pizza and also ice cream.
When I do my homework, I listen to loud music and my favourite singer is Zucchero, an Italian singer - do you know him? My best friend is Emilia, she's fantastic! And you? Have you got a best friend?

Hi Laura, Piano di Sorrento sounds really nice. Next time I go to Italy I will definitely visit it. I also have a brother he is turning 9 in April, he is also very naughty. I also love listening to music, I dont know Zucchero, but he sounds interesting- does he sing opera? My best friends name is Isabella, she is kind, thoughtful and really funny. You sound really nice and interesting, what is your main language that you speak at home? What other things do you do like sport, dancing,art or hobbies? Do you like animals, my favourite animal is a cheetah. What is your favourite animal? My favourite food is pizza and sushi. What school do you go to? At home I speak Italian, what languauge do you speak at home? I don't like sports very much but I like dancing, reading and painting clothes on my "Top Model" albu.
I like animals, my favourite is a cat. I like it because it is soft. I go to the Middle School. I never eat sushi, I'm scared because it isn't cooked!

ReplyDeleteWhat are your favorite subjects at school? Mine is Maths, Science and Art. I also love to read and dance, I like ballet and modern. What is your favorite type of dancing? On Saturday we have our annual sports day, we do a house cheer and at the end we see who gets the spirit cup and which house wins the cup. We have three houses Kingfishers, Robins and Swallows. I'm in the Kingfishers. do you have a sports day and different houses at your school? Do you watch a lot of T.V, I do :), but I also love to read when I'm bored! It's nice to hear from you! ReplyDeleteIt's cool you have my passion too! On Saturday I bought four books, I love them! I'm happy because the 4th of MArch we have Carnival. You can wear a mask or go to a party. You can dress up! When I was 5 I liked wearing a dress. I had a princess dress. It was blue-I loved it! And you? do you like CArnival? If you see our photos, I'm the girl who is making a heart with Emilia (my best friend) - she writes to Chloe.

I want to ask you about the Mount Nelson Hotel. What is it? Is it a mountain or a hotel?
I ask this because we watched a little film about Cape Town. I saw the World of Birds too. Is it a zoo with only Birds? Do you like football? I don't like it because I think it's boring.
I know that in Cape Town there was the World Cup 2010. Did you see any matches? Did you have a favourite team?

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry its been so long since we have talked, i would love to hear what you have been up to! We are on school holidays at the moment and we are going back to school on Monday, the holidays have been 9 days. On the 7 of May, we have our election day in South Africa, and its a public holiday for us! I will also try and email you with your email address, with my school email address. For the holidays,I have just been going to different tourist attractions here in Cape Town. I cant wait to here more about you.

ReplyDeleteThe Mount Nelson Hotel is a very nice hotel in Cape Town, it is absolutely amazing to go to! The world of birds is also very nice and interesting, there are so many different types of birds. I also love sports, especially football and cricket! Unfortunately I didn't go with to the matches in 2010 but, my mom and dad did and they thought it was amazing, bright, pungent and full of colour and cheer. My favorite football team is actually Manchester United! Do you like cricket and if you do are you watching the IPL at the moment?
