Hello my name is Josie
South Africa is a beautiful place with many beautiful
beaches, mountains and landmarks. Cape Town has a beautiful mountain
called Table Mountain and at our school we can see it from our field. Micklefield is a lovely school and has good education, sports and teachers. Our
school is small, but that doesn’t stop us from competing against the bigger
schools. I love sports, playing outside, watching T.V and climbing trees.
I love going out to the beach and movies and I love meeting new people, so I am
looking forward to meeting all of you one day. I love the subjects drama, computers,
music, creative thinking, life skills, maths- especially maths.
DIEGO and UMBERTO say hello!
ReplyDeleteHi, my name is Diego.
I live in Italy that is a beautiful country. In Italy we have the best world cultural patrimony, andwe have the Alps, one of the highest mountain chains. But I live in a small tourist town called Sant Agnello. This town is built near Sorrento a tourist town which you may know?
Our school is in the Sant Agnello Town Hall, so we don't have a garden or a big field where we can play, we just have a volleyball court in the quadrangle and a gym.
I have just seen the photos of your school and I think you are lucky: compared to your school, my school is a cave!
We just have a little town square infront of the school where we meet in the morning before entering school.
I hope that in the future will exist schools like yours in Italy!
Bye bye, Diego
Hello, my name is Umberto
Italyis a beautiful country with many beaches, mountains and cities. Sant Agnello is a beautiful town and at our school there is the town hall. Agostino Gemelli is a good educational school where sports are important but there is also an art laboratory and a science laboraory. I love maths, art and science. I also love watching TV and surfing the internet.
Hello Diego and Umberto
ReplyDeleteI have 2 dogs one of them is still a puppy. I love what you have written and it makes me want to visit Italy very soon. I also love the subjects maths, I love watching TV and I also love going on the internet. Italy sounds very nice the way you have described it and the beaches and mountains here are very beautiful. I must say that our school is one of the smallest so if you think we're lucky you should see the other schools! We have one netball and tennis court and one field that we cant play sport on! You should definitely come to South Africa and visit our beautiful landmarks, beaches, mountains and maybe our school! I am very excited to learn more about Italy. One thing I would definitely do is eat pizza if I came to Italy because apparently it is the best there and I love pizza! I have never seen snow before so that would be very exciting to see snow if I ever come to Italy! Love Josie

Hi Josie,
ReplyDeleteI've also got two dogs, their names are Sheila and Peggy. If your school is one of the smallest, I try to imagine the others!!
Italy is very beautiful and the pizza is very good here. Where I live the snow has never fallen but I would like to see it...when you come here we are going to go together!
But I would like to know something of you...what do you usually do and what are your hobbies. Then if you want, you can tell me what you look like.
I appreciated your "Italian" sentences... but I have to admit that Google Translate is not very good!
We will teach you some good Italian...
In my country the National sport is football. I play it and I love it! What's your favourite sport? If you have Facebook, what's your Facebook name?
Now I tell you something in Italian, try to understand...
Se puoi, mandami una foto, così ci conosciamo meglio, nella foto della classe ho visto delle belle ragazze!
Diego
Hello again Diego and Umberto
DeleteToday I'll try answer some questions you asked me. My favourite program is Sam and Cat which I don't think you'll know. My favourite band as you possibly know from the girl is... One Direction!!! I love playing hockey and tennis, we are going on hockey tour to Knysna in March. I do not have a favourite pizza because I love any pizza! On hot days I live swimming or watching t.v, I love climbing trees and playing sports and I love going to the movies with my friends. I have light brown hair and I am quite tall. The tallest person in our grade is Sascha and you wouldn't believe how tall she is!
Nice chatting to you again
Love Josie
Hi Josie
DeleteI should imagine that you like 1D, infact in this country almost all of the female population likes 1D, but I hate them!
So, how tall IS Sascha? In our school there is a boy who is tall 1,90 meters!
In this week I have to participate in two football matches, the first we won 2-1 and the second is on Saturday- I hope we will win it.
Bye
Diego
Hello Diego and Umberto
DeleteBefore I start which Umberto am I talking to? T or D? I can't explain how tall Sascha is but just imagine how tall a dinosaur is and that is Sascha! (not really but anyway). I love sports at my school and I cant believe you don't do ANY sports at school! I am very fast at running and come first for all my sprints. My favourite animal is a cheetah, what are your favourite animals? I have never seen someone play football but I always watch rugby, if that is any similar! I have always wanted to make a snowman! At our school we can wear clothes on our birthdays and when we are going on outings (we go to lots of lovely places in Cape town) and those are the only times we can wear clothes! I saw your pictures of your class and there are so many of you in ONE class! We only have one class PER grade! You have probably seen the picture of my class and the reason I am wearing different clothes to everyone is because I had tennis in the morning. The clothes I am wearing are our sports clothes, we normally wear shorts but it was cold in the morning so I wore long tracksuit pants! I love talking to you Diego and Umberto and I am learning so much about you! I want to get to know you some more though so here are some more questions. Who are your best friends? Who is your favourite band? What is your favourite place to visit? Has your school ever been on camp and has school ever been cancelled because of the snow? We have 6 and a half hours of school and we go to school for 5 days; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On Friday we end early and only have 5 and a half hours! How many hours of school do you have and on which days?Nice talking to you again!
Love Josie
Hi Josie
ReplyDeleteUmberto D is sick this week.
I have heard about the cheetah, I think that it's the fastest animal in the world. My favourite animal is the dog because I have two dogs and when I'm with them I feel very happy. My best friend after my dogs is Simon Pietro who sits near to me in this class. He is tall and slim. He is very friendly. But, who's your best friend? And what does she look like? I don't like bands but I like a very good Italian singer who is called Jovanotti. I think your favourite band is One Direction?
I'd like to visit all the places of South Africa.
Our school has never been closed for the snow.
I'm very happy this week because on Sunday we will start our school trip. We will travel by aeroplane and we are going to Broadstairs in Kent, England. We are staying in private families and we will go to school there.
Today we saw a video of Cape Town. I liked Spier, where people go for picnics. Here there aren't parks for having picnics but there is a National Park called "Il Pizzo" where you can have a walk with your family. There, a film producer has made a very famous film. Then I also saw the World cup stadium. IT's big. Here in Italy we have over one thousand stadiums. Then I saw the Argus Cycle Tour- in South Africa you have a lot of sports!
And the Signal Hill is very beautiful.
I feel sad to think that you have never seen 1 football match but I have never seen a rugby match.
I hope you are not going to feel sad without me for a week!
bye
Diego
Hello Diego and Umberto D
ReplyDeleteSadly this is my last message I can send you but if you still want to talk to each other my teacher will be giving you E-mail address to you. I have really enjoyed talking to you guys and hopefully we still will and maybe one day even see each other! I must say you really speak very good English and I hope you can come see how Cape Town is! I would love to come to Italy one day and maybe if I do Diego and Umberto you can give me some lovely places to visit or see (maybe some places that have snow). Thank you and enjoy the rest of your year!!!
Love Josie
