Hi my name is Olivia
I live in South Africa,
overseas many people think that we live with wild animals, but actually South
Africa is quite built up. Although there are some areas that do have animals and
some that have poor areas like the townships where they make their houses out
of scrap metal and other litter, although the government has built a few houses
for them. Cape Town is a very beautiful city with lot of plant life. Here in
the Western Cape (which is the province in which Cape Town is) we have a
special group of plants called Fynbos, one of the most famous Fynbos is the
Protea. The King Protea is South Africa’s national plant, our national bird is
a Blue Crane, our national animal is a Springbok and our national fish is
Galjoen. Cape Town has a beautiful mountain called Table Mountain, we also have
many beaches (although our sea is not very warm).
Micklefield is a lovely
school to be at for junior school. It gives you lots of confidence in life and
you make great friends here. I have a mom, a dad and two sisters who are both
older than me. My favourite colour is purple. I have two dogs who are both
girls who are called Stella and Zoe and a cat called Bambie. I love seeing
friends and watching movies. My favourite foods are mostly Italian but my two
bests are pizza and ice cream.

VITTORIO says hello!
ReplyDeleteHi, my name's Vittorio. I live in Italy. Overseas many people think we are lazy but it isn't true. Our town is very beautiful and I go to the I.C. Agostino Gemelli school. My school is a very important school in the region. In Sant Agnello's town square there is a statue from Cuba.
I like animals and I'm going to be a vet. My favourite colour is green.
I have a mom, a dad and two brothers who are both younger than me. I have a doggy who is called Marley. He's a retriever.
'm quiet and I love Maths.
My favourite singer is Vasco Rossi (an Italian singer). My favourite foods are pizza and tomatoes.
I would like to come to South Africa one day.
from Vittorio.
Hi Vittorio
DeleteIf you were able to visit a country which country would you visit and why?
I am eleven years old, how old are you?My favourite sports are Netball and Tennis. My favourite band is One Direction and my favourite singer is Lana Del Ray. You speak very good English by the way, what other languages can you speak? I can speak Afrikaans (a South African language quite similar to Dutch), English and Xhosa (an African language). What is your favourite thing to do on a weekend? I would love to visit Italy one day!
From Olivia
Per Natale Io di solito ottenere un nuovo costume da bagno e poi nuoto perché è molto caldo nel periodo natalizio.
DeleteCiao Olivia
Hi Olivia
ReplyDeleteIf I could visit any country I prefer to visit South Africa because there are a lot of animals.
I am 12 years old but in March I am thirteen! My favourite sport is football.
I don't like One Direction - but I don't be unpleasant! Some girls in my class also like Lana del Ray.
Thanks for your compliment. I can also speak Spanish and French.
At the weekend i like playing with my brother and my dog. What's your favourite animal? I really like animals.
What do you and your friends do at the weekends? What movies do you like?
How often do you eat Italian food? Are there many Italian restaurants in your town?
Natale al caldo, che bello! Noi stiamo dentro, a tavola e mangiamo molto insieme con la famiglia!
ciao ciao
Vittorio
Hi Vittorio
ReplyDeleteHahaha don't worry I didn't expect you to like One Direction. I found out that my name is Italian, it means olive tree which symbolises peace, what does your name mean? My favourite animal is a dog but I also love tigers. On the weekend I like to see my friends and go to movies with them or go out for meals with my family. My favourite movie is Super 8, what's yours? Quite often actually I have pasta most the time, I love ice cream so I have that now and then and 2 years ago my dad got a pizza maker so that is great! Have you ever had any South African foods? There are quite a lot of Italian restaurants here, some aren't Italian but serve some Italian foods. I found out what that means Christmas warm, how nice! We're inside, at the table and eat a lot together with the family! hello hello, am I right?
Olivia
Hi Olivia
ReplyDeleteMy name means "victory" My favourite animal is the "spirit bear", it's a white bear but it's not a polar bear, it lives in the forest. I like tigers too. Today in class I saw "Animal records" of the BBC, it's like animal Olympics! Excuse me but I really like animals! What did you do today in class? Do you ever watch films in school?
bye
Vittorio
Hi Vittorio
ReplyDeleteI looked the spirit bear up wow it is really pretty! Today I did BODMAS in maths, synonyms and antonyms in English and beats in music. What is your favourite subject. Yes we do sometimes watch when its coming to the end of the term or just for a treat and we watch documentaries sometimes during lessons. I also love animals. If you could be an animal what animal would you be?

Hi Vittorio
ReplyDeleteI'm great thanks, and you?
I would like to be some kind of bird as my dream is to fly. I am so jealous I wish we could go to different countries with our school, and you have such nice countries by you! I can't believe this is my last message to you. This has been so much fun talking to you and finding out about Italy. I will miss you so much, this has been a great experience. I hope you have learnt a bit about South Africa and what life is like here for us. I hope you have a lovely rest of your year and an amazing holiday! Happy Easter by the way! I will miss you dearly!
