Rose says hello
I live in Cape Town, South
Africa. It is very beautiful here and it's filled with a mixture of markets,
tourists attractions, harbours and and game parks. the major tourist attraction
is Table Mountain. It is one of the seven wonders of the world. I live in
Rondebosch with my family. I enjoy doing sports like swimming and Hockey. I
also enjoy cooking and baking. I wish that one day I will be able to come to
Italy and taste all of the amazing food there.

You know already that I live in Italy...
I love South Africa! It's the world of the best animals of the universe!
I love Italy too, especially the big cities like Milan, Rome, Florence, Naples, Venice and so on. but I also like a lot of little towns like Sorrento (the town where I live), Taormina...
I think that Italy is very rich in monuments, infact in every place there's a thing that you MUST see! In Sorrento, for example, there are a lot of museums and very pretty squares.
Now, I want to write about me.. I love music, reading and painting and I like meeting my friends for having a walk or for watching a horror film with them. I love speaking in English and I would like to have more English hours at school.
My country is famous for its food, people say "It's the best in the world". My favourite is pasta: you can eat a lot of kinds of pasta like "penette", "cannelloni", "fusilli", and you can prepare it with tomato sauce or other kinds of sauces.
It's neccessary to say that Italian schools are less beautiful than your schools: we haven't unifroms and we haven't classrooms like yours! Ours are little.
In Italy we have a lot of festivals like the Sant Agnello festival, and we don't go to school when there are festivals! We walk around the town to shop at the street stalls and we eat characteristic food like "zeppole".

ReplyDeleteItaly sounds fantastic.Now I am even more desperate to go there after reading your comment .i also love art, reading and painting. I love cooking and the food there sounds fantastic. my favourite food is pasta too! i also like going to little towns. we have lots of little towns surrounding Cape Town(where we live). On Wednesday our whole class is going on a school camp or trip. we will be staying in little cabins and doing lots of activities. Do you go on any school trips? As I said I like doing sport. do you? We also have some festivals but not as many as you, I think. One of the main ones that i celebrate is national heritage day. we all cook outside on a open fire.
I am hoping to come to italy soon.

Per Natale tutta la mia famiglia viene togetherand avere un grande pranzo del giorno di Natale. Abbiamo mangiato prosciutto e turker così come le insalate. abbiamo principalmente celebriamo il giorno di Natale. La mattina apriamo presente e andiamo in chiesa.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for answering soon. I looked for the place where you live on the web and I saw a lot of pictures of it. It seems fantastic I would like to visit it one day! I have just finished my english homework! It was about the advertisments. Did you have to do something for school? What do you usually do on Sunday? As to me, I usually finish my homework (it's so boring!) and go out with my friends. I must stop now, it's time to go and have a shower and prepare my school bag.

ReplyDeleteWe actually are doing a school project at the moment. It is on medicine. On Sundays I also do homework and I go out with all my friends. This Sunday i am going to the movies with them. Do you have any sisters or brothers? I have two sisters one older and one younger. It is summer at the moment in Cape Town and it is very hot. Yesterday it was 33 degrees Celsius! Do you play any musical instruments? I play the saxophone. On Saturday it is our sports day we do sprints and fun races. On Wednesday we are doing cross country in our different sports houses. Do you have sports days or sport houses? I have been watching a bit of the Winter Olympics and Italy is doing very well. Our lessons start at eight in the morning.

ReplyDeleteOn Saturday we had sports day and so we did sprints and fun races. For our fun race we had to balance a beanbag on our head and put a pole on our shoulders. I love sports day. it is one of my favourite school events. I came first in my fun race and second in my parent and daughter race. the sport house that I am in is Swallows. Unfortunately we did not win anything but we had a lot of fun. do you do any extra sports. We got told that you only write exams twice. We write exams twice a year throughout school. We also write tests almost every week. we have a school play this year it is Called Jane and the giant peach (we don't have boys at our school so we couldn't do James and the giant peach). I am very excited for it. do you do any plays? we have lots of animals on the mountain right next to the city, like snakes, eagles, dassies, lizards, mountain zebra and sun birds. sadly there are not many leopards so we only know that there are still some because foot prints have been found. do you have any animals that live near you? On Friday it was one of my friends birthday. when is your birthday?

My Birthday is the 18th of April and I'm doing the countdown now! When's your Birthday? What do you usually do on your Birthday? In the morning I usually open my presents and after that I go to school. Later, when lessons finish, I go out with them and I organise a party with them. What do you usually receive for your Birthday? I'm making another countdown too: On Sunday I'm going to London with my school! We're staying with a family for a week (from 9th to 16th March) and we're going to an English school! In the evening we're going out with our friends and in the afternoon we're playing sport with our English friends.
In your school do the teachers organise school trips?
Are you doing a countdown for an important thing?
I'm going to reply to your letter when I return from my school trip. I want to write you about my travel in England.

ReplyDeleteMy birthday is on the 29th of July. I also open my presents in the morning and sometimes get breakfast in bed. After school I go out for dinner with my family usually and if its a weekend then I would have a party. For my birthday last year, from my parents I got clothes and a bike and from my sisters I got an ipod cover, shoes and a bath-bomb. I'm making a countdown towards the 28th of March as that is when the term ends and we go on holiday. I'm also making a countdown for this Thursday because Friday is a public holiday and I'm going on holiday to Knysna (which is a small town outside Cape Town). We stay on an island. Your trip to London sounds fun and I am looking forward to hearing about it. At our school the teachers also organise trips but we visit places in near Cape Town. The furthest we go from Cape Town is on camp and this year we went on a camp a little further away from Cape Town. Some girls go on hockey tour but I was not selected this year.
